Mt. Everest & Yeti Challenge

In 2018 join us for the coolest running challenge yet!

Our Mt. Everest & Yeti Challenge is going to be great fun during Polar Dash on January 1, 2018.

Mt. Everest Challenge: Upon signing up for the Mt. Everest race you will be registered for the Half Marathon, 5K and 1800 meter.  You will receive all three race medals PLUS the Mt. Everest Challenge Medal.

Doing the Mt. Everest & Yeti Challenge is not a requirement to run the Polar Dash.  This could be a great way to run your long race, do the 5K with the kids and the 1800m for just a little extra challenge!

For those doing the Mt. Everest Challenge

Participants will start the Half Marathon race at 9:00 a.m.  Depending on what time they finish, they will choose the order of 5K and 1800m according to available start times.

Their options are to do the 5K at 11:30 AM, then 1800m - Heat 2 at 12:15 PM.

The other option is to choose to do 1800m - Heat 1 at 11:00 AM; then the 5K at 11:30 AM.

For those doing the Yeti Challenge

Participants will start the 10K race at 9:30 AM.

**It is recommended that most 10K runners should choose the second option, as it will cut down on wait time between races.**

Packet Pick-up

2018 Packet Pick Up Information TBD

If you cannot attend packet pick-up:   You have one of three options:

  • You can have a friend or family member pick up your gear, bib and chip during our packet pick-up event.  They MUST have a photo copy or a picture of your photo ID (texted or emailed to your phone) with them along with your bib number to pick up your packet.
  • Mailing:  The deadline for requesting to have your packet and gear mailed for Polar Dash must be received by 12/18/17 (Click here to request mail out)
  • While there is no general race day packet pick-up, if you cannot attend any of the scheduled packet pick-ups, don't have anyone who can pick up for you or purchase a mailout, then, for a $20 convenience fee, we will have your packet waiting for you at our registration area tent on race day.  This must be prearranged, as only the packets of those who have prearranged this with us will be there on race day. Click here to request race day pick up.  If you choose this option, please keep in mind we cannot guarantee your gear size will be available.

Two Ways to speed up your trip through packet pick-up:

1. Bring your bib number and photo ID with you

2. If you want to come when it's least busy, consider coming during the middle hours of packet pick-up. While steady with participants, those middle hours are usually easier to navigate because they are after the early rush and before the late rush.

If you are registered for multiple events, but NOT the Yeti Challenge...You must wear each timing chip on OPPOSITE shoes.  If you wear more than one timing chip on one shoe, it will not read for the results.

Bib Numbers

This is where you need to be if you're looking up a bib number. You will need this number for packet pick-up

Click here to see your bib number for Polar Dash

The numbers are updated often, but are not instantaneous with your registration. We will update them weekly. If you do not see your number here, please check our print out available at packet pickup.  We also will have a help desk available for changes or questions.
